Jaimie Caliri directed the titles for Lemony Snicket. If you haven't seen them already. Check them out on Youtube. His latest work is a amazing cut-out commercial for United Airlines. Its done by hand with real cut-outs. Check out the commercial here. He's one of the greats in my opinion who has been doing some great cut out animation work.
