Two new awesome teachers that are here this winter 2010 quarter!

Sunil Thankamushy who was the Animation Director for Spark Unlimited Inc, a video game studio based in California, USA. He has worked on games such as Call of Duty, Finest Hour, Medal of Honor, The Lost World Jurassic Park. His Career started with Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks Studios hiring him to work as an animator in their Games Division where he went on to lead the Team in MEDAL OF HONOR. After several years at Dreamworks and then Electronic Arts, in summer 2002 Sunil co-founded Spark Unlimited INC, where He was the animation director on “Call of Duty: Finest Hour” (2004), was a WW2-themed first person shooter. Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (2006)and Legendary. He is the Founder/CEO of DEEPBLUE Worlds Inc, online virtual world's studio based in California, USA. He'll be teaching 3d animation and character rigging on Fridays!

Jim Busike, character modeler who has worked at High Moon, on Darkwatch 2, and Bourne Identity , Several of the Final four games as well as JetX20 PS2!. He'll be teaching 3d animation studio as well as Animation Portfolio Production.

There's an amazing show that benefits the Loma Linda Childrens Hospital at the CCAA Museum of Art., in Rancho Cucamonga.

Disney Artists, Floyd Norman Bruce Smith, Bill Perkins, Aurian Redson, Glen Keane, Victoria Ying, Lorelay Bove, and Mark Henn will be displaying work there.

Aurian Redson Story Artist from Disney Feature Animation on Saturday Dec 12!

Aurian Redson will be here on Saturday Dec. 12. 12:30pm in room 154. A graduate of calarts, worked in tv for a couple of years as a character layout artist, board revisionist and board artist, then got a job at Disney Feature and has been for seven years now. Some of the films have been Brother Bear, Chicken Little, Meet The Robinsons, Bolt and the new xmas special Prep and Landing.

We will have signed items to give AWAY!

Also got a co-screenwriting credit on Robinsons, did the voice of Frankie for Robinsons and illustrated a picture book for Bolt!!

Astroboy Opens Tomorrow!

Hey folks,

Hope you can go support the new Astroboy film that opens tomorrow. Once you've watched the film, head back to this site and listen to this interview with the writer and director David Bowers! I enjoyed the film , but had issues with the story. Good design and good animation make this an entertaining film, and if your a fan of the series, you should go watch this!.

Brian Yam-Concept Artist from Naughty Dog Comes to the Inland Empire

Brian Yam, an amazing concept artist will be here on Saturday Oct 10 from 3-6pm Brian has worked on the RESISTANCE FALL OF MAN 1,2. Ratchet and Clank, and Uncharted 2. He is a concept artist at Naughty Dog, one of the premerie Sony Playstation 3 Game Developers!

BE THERE! All GAD students NEED to attend this. If you have a class, talk to your instructor about coming., Or better yet WAIT for the VIDEO! (But you have to wait another week) SO GO TO IT NOW! He will be here from 3-6pm

He will be doing speedpainting demo and talking about color and composition. Senior students bring your portfolios! He will be looking at portfolios the last hour.
